I drifted on the west side of the Inlet, in the shadows of Chisik Island and Mount Iliamna, which gave great relief to the intense midnight sun that was shining. I invited my cousin's 15-year old son up to Alaska this summer from Washington, and I'm glad he's had a chance to see the beauty of this Inlet on a calm, sunny day.
