Fisherman's Log:
The weather was hot as all hell, but I wish I could say the same about the fishing. It’s still slow going, but I am not going to let it get me down. The local fireweed is starting to bloom, which means the reds are on their way. These early ones are big and healthy, so it looks like it will be a strong run this year!
Local folklore states that the sockeye salmon run when the fireweed blooms.
